Tanner Laverty. CEO, Broker

Tanner joined Laverty Real Estate in 2004 as part of an expansion effort. Tanner's addition allowed the company to provide Brokerage Services such as seller/buyer representation and tenant representation. After two years of success, Tanner and partner Marc Chacón purchased the company and continue to steer it forward under its current name, Laverty Chacón Commercial Real Estate.  Since joining the company, Tanner has been responsible for over $18,000,000 in Sale and Lease transactions.

Tanner is a licensed Real Estate Broker and is also studying to be a Certified Commercial Investment Member. He continues to expand his knowledge through graduate level courses in financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate.

Tanner is a member of the Association of Commercial Real Estate in Sacramento (ACRE), the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Roseville Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to joining Laverty Real Estate, Tanner was Sales & Marketing Director for the Western Region of Kip Prahl Associates (KPA), a nationwide environmental and safety consulting firm. Tanner traveled the country negotiating national contracts and was KPA’s top producer for over two-and-a-half years before leaving to join Laverty Real Estate.

Tanner received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from San Diego State University and graduated with Distinction upon the "recommendation of his professors and by doing superior work in Economics". During that time he also extensively studied Mandarin Chinese, Psychology and Philosophy.

A native of Roseville, California, Tanner enjoys playing basketball and golf, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and skiing.

Marc Chacon. President, Broker

Marc joined Laverty Real Estate in 2004 to expand and develop its management, leasing and sales operations. Marc specializes in the leasing and management of office, retail and industrial properties and currently oversees the management of approximately one million square feet of commercial property. Marc’s successful property management in his first two years led to the acquisition of the company along with partner Tanner Laverty in 2006, at which time the company became Laverty Chacón Commercial Real Estate.

Marc earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Nevada, Reno. He holds a California Real Estate Brokers License and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM^®). The CPM^® designation is one of the premier credentials in the industry and represents the highest level of education, ethics and professional experience in commercial property management.

Marc is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and has served on its board from 2006 to present. Marc is also a member of the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO), the Association of Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) and the Roseville and Lincoln Chambers of Commerce.

Prior to joining Laverty Real Estate, Marc was a Senior Sales Representative with pharmaceutical and surgical equipment company Alcon Laboratories, where he assisted in the training of newly hired sales representatives nationwide. Marc was consistently a "Top 15% Producer" for each of the five years he worked for Alcon.

Marc now lives in Lincoln, California with his wife Anne and son Max, and likes to play sports, spend time with friends and family, and travel.

Jan Laverty. Investments

Jan has been an active commercial and investment real estate professional for over 30 years, involved in every facet of the commercial real estate business; property sales and acquisitions, leasing and property management. He has successfully operated his own real estate company since 1980, predominantly in the Northern California area. Most recently Jan’s focus has been on identifying large commercial buildings for conversion to commercial condominium units.

A native of Iowa, Jan received a Bachelor’s degree in General Business Administration from Arizona State University. Following his education he served his country for four years as a U.S. Naval line officer which led to his establishing roots in California. It was during that time that he met and married his wonderful wife, Beverly, in San Francisco. There they began raising their two children.

For four years Jan worked for Cheesebrough Ponds, selling medical supplies to hospitals. In 1974 he started his real estate career with Coldwell Banker. Six years later Jan opened his own company on Union Street in San Francisco, specializing in investment properties. In 1982 he brought his family to the Sacramento area, where he has remained since.

Jan enjoys boating, skiing, hot rods, sand railing, and golfing.

Kimberly Schott. Bookkeeper

Kimberly came to Laverty Chacon Commercial Real Estate in the summer of 2007 to administer the general bookkeeping and recordkeeping responsibilities for their property management clients. She performs all of the accounts receivables and payables, check processing, bank deposit preparation, bank statement reconciliations, report preparation, 1099s and budgeting.

Kimberly earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from San Jose State University. She also is a licensed real estate agent.

Prior to joining Laverty Chacon, Kim was the accountant for a commercial mortgage company and was heavily involved with the financial aspects of the company and their investors. She took a few years off to raise her kids and during that time she was buying and selling real estate with Century 21.

Kim was born and raised in the bay area, and moved here with her husband in 1999. She enjoys hiking, running, camping and being with her family and friends.

Steamer Pease. Associate

Steamer joined Laverty Chacon Commercial Real Estate to assist in growing the company’s Leasing and Sales operation. Steamer’s addition provides the company with the opportunity to expand both their sales and leasing services through transparent consultation with each client. Steamer focuses on Buyer and Seller representation as well as Landlord and Tenant representation by working with each client individually to thoroughly understand and assist in implementing their Real Estate goals successfully.

Steamer is a licensed Real Estate Associate, who before joining Laverty Chacon Commercial Real Estate was a part of Collier’s Central Valley Industrial Group.  Steamer was in charge of creating and implementing marketing brochures, sub-market Industrial updates, while also focusing on Tenant representation for lease transactions.

Steamer graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

Steamer is also one of the co-founders of the non-profit corporation 4-50 which provides financial assistance to title 1 public schools through the solicitation of private grants, and public donations in an attempt to lessen the burden of government, city and county funding.

Steamer currently resides in Sacramento with his wife Iyuanna, and two son’s Terrin and James. In his spare time, Steamer enjoys golfing, jet-skiing, playing recreational sports and traveling.

Josh Myers is the newest member of the Laverty Chacon team and is responsible for the growth of the property management division in the greater San Diego region.
